Basic Saddle Flocking Course

Venue: STC Salisbury, Cirencester Saddlers, Saddler's Den Southport, Woolcroft Equine Services Wisbech and George MacEachran, Dunoon - Scotland

A four day basic course to enable saddle fitters to re-flock or adjust the flocking in a saddle panel. Also to carry out basic safety checks.

The objective of this course is to prepare candidates for the Society of Master Saddlers’ Qualification in Saddle Flocking and Flocking adjustment. Skills and knowledge will include removing the panel from the saddle, remove all flocking and re-flock the panel. Refit the panel into the saddle, carrying out simple flocking adjustments. Carrying out safety checks of the saddle whilst the panel is removed and be able to describe any faults that are identified so that a Qualified or Master Saddler can carry out the necessary repairs.  Price on application.
