Here at The Society of Master Saddlers we are passionate about all things saddlery, and particularly the welfare of the animals we use that saddlery on. Fit 4 Welfare started as a one day online conference delivered by The Society during covid times with professional experts from various backgrounds including feed, biomechanics, welfare, coaching and saddlery educating the attendees.

Following the success over the last few years of the Fit 4 Welfare campaign, we are delighted to launch the Fit 4 Welfare Club. The aim of the Club is to educate and inform horse owners, riders and trainers on all aspects of correctly Fitting saddlery for the welfare of the horse used in sport. It will also highlight the impact saddlery fit can have on the horse’s way of going, looking at horse Fitness and care as well as influencing rider Fitness and safety.
